In the summer, we can see corn easily at
the market.
However, sometime I hesitate to buy corn
because I think that corn is not good for my health.
Here is news about corn. It is saying how
much healthy it is.

It’s not good for our health ?
The belief that corn in unhealthy comes from
the idea that it has many carbs. It’s true that corn has many carbohydrates but
it’s a myth that it is unhealthy because corn can contribute to your daily
servings of vegetables.

It’s difficult to digest ?
Corn has a lot of insoluble fiber but that’s a good thing because it
helps us have regular bowel movements. That insoluble fiber also feeds the “good
bacteria” in our body.

It has no nutrition ?
Corn has a lot of nutrition but it is overshadowed by “super healthy
vegetables” like spinach. Corn has vitamin B, Vitamin A, magnesium and
potassium. It also contains “zeaxanthin and lutein, which are good for eye
health.”

It’s high in sugar ?
Many believe that corn has a lot of sugar because it is so sweet. But
compared with one of the sweetest fruits, bananas, a cob of corn has only “6 to
8 grams of sugar while a banana has about 15”
Oh~ I'd love it. It's healthy too, very good for us.
