<Peace Advocate>

Man Hee Lee, Chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light

Mr. Man Hee Lee, founder and chairman of HWPL, chose to dedicate his life to the cause of peace ager experiencing the violence and horror of the front lines during the Korean War (1950-1953). Having received a solution to the achievement of peace inspired by heaven, Mr. Lee set out on a mission to spread the word and make world peace a reality.

In 2010, he made the Declaration of Unification and led the effort in protecting peace on the Korean peninsula and Asia. Following this, in 2013, he made the Declaration of World Peace - a milestone in our collective history, and one which began bringing the youth all over the world together in peace-walks meant to demonstrate the capacity of the youth to cooperate for peace.

Between 2012 and 2014, Mr. Lee traveled to 57 nations during a total of 14 World Peace Tours. The aim of these tours is to engage international leaders of both secular and religious sectors of society, as well as former and current heads of state in discussion centering on the drafting of an international agreement to bring about the cessation of wars and usher in world peace. such an agreement is envisioned to later become the foundation on which an international law can be drafted and set in place.

As testament to efficacy of the visionary solution to the creation of peace Mr. Lee is delivering, groups such as UNESCO and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) have invited him to summits as a keynote speaker. Mr. Lee's message of peace and the need for an international agreement for the cessation of war are particularly evident through his work on the island of Mindanao where HWPL continues to facilitate just much as an agreement signed in January of this year. There, HWPL is bringing the 40-year ethno-religious conflict between the Catholic and Muslim communities in the region closer to resolution than ever before.
